We’re absolutely elated to announce a milestone achievement for Smoking Rocket – we’ve clinched the coveted 1st place Gold Award at the Hertfordshire Digital Awards, and the journey there was nothing short of a cinematic plot!

Our winning entry? The website we designed for Fangs FX, which stood out in the fiercely competitive Sports & Entertainment Category. Now, here’s where the plot thickens: we were up against some industry Goliaths, including the likes of Adidas. Yes, you read that right – Adidas! When we saw the lineup, our expectations were modest at best; after all, competing with such globally recognised brands seemed like a David versus Goliath scenario.

The surprise of the win was so great that our director, who typically has a way with words, was caught completely off-guard. Picture this: amidst a lineup of industry heavyweights, when Smoking Rocket was announced as the winner, there was a moment of stunned silence from our end. Our director, who hadn’t prepared a speech, believing it to be an ‘Adidas night’, had to improvise on the spot. Let’s just say, if there were an award for the most impromptu and heartfelt acceptance speech, we might have won that too!
